"Cyber insurance has made great strides in the last 20 years and we now have a mainstream product," explains Rudy Johnson, president of R.V. Johnson Insurance. In this video, filmed at the historic Seminole Inn in Indiantown, Florida, Johnson describes an application form that, for companies with less than $100M in revenue, is only one page long and can be completed in less than five minutes. Given the myriad of cyber risks faced by the small business owner, this sort of protection seems like a no-brainer.
Educating the Martin County, Florida business community about the risks of the cyber world is what the trio of Johnson, Jeff Leslie of ITS Fiber and a local attorney, who specializes in cyber law, have been doing on a regular basis. As Johnson explains, the three of them bring complementary skills and knowledge to help local businesses understand and get ahead of these 21st century perils. Johnson and Leslie provided attendees of the Beyond Fiber and Into the Data Center event with an overview of the type of presentation they give.
Operators everywhere would benefit from the type of cyber education program that ITS Fiber has put together with these other community leaders.
